OUR CITIES

Today, 75% of the 508,000 Europeans live in cities. By 2050, 36 million more citizens will live in cities, raising the urbanisation rate in Europe to 80%.

In 2014, about 54% of the world's population lived in urban areas.

 

In preparation for the imminent adoption of the new draft Community budget for the period 2020-2027, the European Commission's Directorate-General for Research and Innovation has published a document on The Human-centered city, as a new approach to research and development policies. "People" - "Place" - "Prosperity" - "Resilience".
