Juan Carlos Gutierrez Contreras, of Colombian origin, has lived in Mexico for 15 years, where he is dedicated to the defence and promotion of human rights.

 

He is the Founder and Director of the Mexican NGO I(DH)EAS, which specializes in strategic litigation to change the country's rule of law. FRIDHA had the pleasure and honour to be able to support this initiative when it was born.

 

On his return from Geneva, Juan Carlos Gutierrez Contreras, Director of I(DH)EAS, a Mexican NGO of human rights defenders, gave Radio Campus Latino his impressions on the worrying human rights situation in Mexico and Latin America in the autumn of 2019.
